New guitar available for checkout!
Posted on November 1st, 2018

Booth Library has a new guitar available for checkout! A new Epiphone SG-Special Electric Guitar has been added to the library’s collection, making it the second guitar available for patrons to borrow.
This model is similar to the Gibson SG played by legendary guitarists Jerry Garcia, Frank Zappa and Angus Young. This six-string guitar has a gloss mahogany finish with a maple neck. It features 22 frets and a three-way pickup switch.
In addition, a Honeytone amplifier is available. It can be played with a clean or overdriven tone.
The guitar and amp check out separately. Loan period is one week, and renewals are allowed. To check out a guitar, ask for a guitar at the Library Technology Services counter on the 4000 level. A staff member retrieve the guitar from the equipment room for you and check it out to you.
Two Dean electric guitars are available for use in the library. Ask at the Library Technology Services counter to get access to a rehearsal room.
Don’t forget to take a guitar book home with you! Find out what’s available at http://booth.library.eiu.edu/subjectsPlus/subjects/guide.php?subject=Guitar
