Patrons are invited to fall in love with a new book during February by participating in “Blind Date with a Book.”
Through “Blind Date with a Book,” patrons choose from several books wrapped in brown paper with descriptive hints written on the front. Patrons check out the book at the Circulation desk and then take it home to reveal their “blind date.”
Patrons are invited to choose their blind date from the table located on the main floor near the Circulation desk.
Movie displays are back!
Posted on September 20th, 2021
It’s been a while, but real-life, physical movie displays have once again returned to the fourth floor of the library!
There may be no better time for a movie display comeback than spooky season, and this one is jam-packed with a finely-curated selection of only the best Halloween-type films from our collection.
Don’t see what you’re looking for? Feel free to stop by the desk and let us know — there’s a chance we might just have it.
Happy fall, and enjoy the movies!
Attack of the ’90s!
Posted on June 14th, 2019
Remember the ’90s? If you don’t now, you soon will! The 1990s arguably gave us some of the greatest films ever produced, and we’ve put together a handsome collection of them up here on the 4th floor, ready to be checked out. 20 years since it came to a close, the ’90s is a decade that continues to resonate and influence popular culture, and rightfully so. Where would we be without Jurassic Park? And perhaps more importantly, where would we be without Space Jam? Certainly nowhere near as excited about this display.
Help us welcome certified therapy dogs from All Things Pawsitive as they again visit Booth Library during Finals Week. Ease your mind by visiting with these dogs on Monday, April 29 and Tuesday, April 30 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. in the Library Quad. In case of inclement weather, dogs will be in the library’s South Lobby.
Want more comfort? Nestle in with these books about stress management and animal companionship, on display in Booth Library’s main hallway through the end of May 2019:
Being with Animals: Why We Are Obsessed with the Furry, Scaly, Feathered Creatures Who Populate Our World
Did you know there’s a space exhibit happening at the Booth Library right now? There is, and it’s great! Here on the fourth floor, the best way we could manage to express our excitement is to put together a theme-appropriate movie display. But these aren’t just any regular old movies. They’re movies… FROM SPACE!
Did you also know that the fourth floor is the highest floor in the library, which makes it closer to outer space than all the other floors? How fitting! Float on up and check out our fantastic display!
